I need to pass a foreign knowledge reading exam for a Ph.D. in
English. I'm doing French -- from scratch. I have a little tourist
French and that is about it. I only took two years of SPanish decades
ago in high school, so I figured Spanish, which I don't care for,
would be just as hard as a language I was interested in but had
virtually no training in. Question, what kind of courses -- high
school, grad or even continuing ed or Bertitz should I take for this
exam and how many before I would be ready for this exam?
