Vinirma Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is a Business Consulting, IT Technology
Solutions and Services company. We are currently looking for Senior
Database Administrator for our UAE operations with the following skill
set and terms and conditions:
Skill Set required:
Skills
1. Good experience with Oracle 9i Administration.
2. Good knowledge of Oracle RAC and DataGuard & Oracle 10g.
3. Good knowledge of UNIX (IBM AIX and SUN Solaris).
4. Oracle Certified Professional certification will be an added
advantage.
Responsibilities:
1. Installation, configuration and implementation of Oracle
Databases in an IBM HACMP & SUN Solaris environments. Carries out
Database administration tasks.
2. Troubleshoots on Oracle Databases issues identifying solutions
on daily basis.
3. Implements backup procedures, Troubleshoots and maintains the
backups on a daily basis.
4. Carries out performance monitoring, uses utilities to for
troubleshooting or fine tuning the databases to maximum performance.
5. Manages the Disaster recovery databases. Monitors, the
synchronization between production and DR databases. Manages and
trouble shoots on the DR databases.
6. Reviews database logs, searches for errors.
7. Applying patches releasing bug fixes into the production
environment.
8. Allocation of storage for application systems
9. Troubleshoots high priority systems such as the core banking
systems to ensure availability of service.
10. Undertakes similar or related tasks or duties as directed by
senior management
Domain: Banking
Minimum Education required: A Degree in Computer Science or an
equivalent qualification is required
Experience Required : minimum 4 yrs.
Attributes required for the Job:
1. A good knowledge of written and spoken English is
required.
2. A driving licence is required.
3. Good person to person communication skills
4. A good command of Excel and Word / MS office is
required.
Job Location : United Arab Emirates.
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame : 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
