Every year hundreds of top colleges and universities award athletes
over $1 billion in sports scholarships. There are other benefits to
college sports participation, but most of the high school athletes who
dream of playing their sport at college level and being good enough to
get a full-ride athletic scholarship do not. The reason for this is
that they feel they won't get a scholarship, and the reality is that
most won't, but the really sad thing is that most won't even try.
